The Spa Pavilion.
This picture of the Spa Pavilion, then called the West Cliff Saloon, was taken in 1905. Note the magnificent terrace which was later reduced in size and compare the picture with this later one. You can also take a look at a typical programme of entertainment from 1881, shortly after the Spa opened.

HMS Triton, a Mystery Solved.
After 5 years spent tracing this ship I have finally found her identity!
HMS Triton was a Naval survey ship built in 1882. She worked largely on the East coast and made many internationally important marine life discoveries off Eastern Scotland. Click on the picture to learn more.
