The Wheatsheaf - Egton  Popular with walkers and fishermen, who congregate cosily around the log fire in the bar, the Wheatsheaf at Egton has three elegant en suite rooms furnished  in country Victorian style and serves excellent food. The Wheatsheaf was recently named runner up in the Yorkshire Traditional Pub of the Year competition and the Observer travel correspondent said that they serve the best Sunday lunch in England. We heartily agree! 


Raithwaite Hall is the only five star hotel on the Yorkshire coast. Set in 80 acres of magnificent grounds, it has superbly appointed rooms, a choice of fine restaurants and a swimmimg pool and spa complex. The Saxonville Hotel  A classic, well appointed hotel close to the West Cliff, the Saxonville was voted "Hotel of the Year" in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast awards for 2006 and 2007. The restaurant is particularly good and very popular with local residents.
